Dell P-Series 27-inch USB-C monitor
– One of the coolestthings in technology today has got to be USB Type-C.
We can use it everything power, display, even charging your device.
And today we're gonna take a look at the Dell P Series desktop display.
It's a 27 inch monitor,it's powered by Type-C, it can even recharge your laptop.
It works great withSurface Go, Surface Book 2, and even your smartphone.
So is it any good? Well here's my full review.
(soft music) The refreshed Dell P Seriescomes in multiple sizes, including 22, 24, and 27 inches.
For this review, we'reusing the 27 inch model, which is available usually for $420, but can be found discounted for 310.
Compared to last year's release, the new P Series line is 23% smaller, and you immediately noticethat reduction with the bezels, which are now micro thin.
Tech specs are basic, but solid for those whoneed a display for work.
Those specs include 1920×1080 ips display, a 60 Hertz LED edge light system, and around 300 nits for brightness.
The display response time iseight milliseconds by default, but it can be crankedto five milliseconds, making it okay for casual gamers.
Additionally, you getan anti-glare coating, 3H hardness, and 16.
7 million colors.
Color accuracy and R testing is excellent, at 98% sRGB and 76% Adobe RGB.
But besides being a sharp-looking monitor, what makes the P Series excitingis the Type-C connector.
By using the one cable, userscan transmit power, data, video, and audio all at once.
That cable gets you 65 Wattsof power coming through, which is enough to recharge most laptops, including a Surface Go,XPS 13, HP Spectre x360, or a Lenovo X1 Carbon.
Surface Book 2 users will be okay so long as they don't game.
When they start using that NVIDIA GPU, the charge likely can't keep up.
Instead, they'll need to usethe standard Surface charger, instead while using the Type-Cone just for display out.
Looking at the bottom of thedisplay, the P series includes a standard power connector,HDMI port, display port 1.
2, Type-C connector, two USBType-A downstream ports, and there's an additional twoother Type-A ports on the side for quick access as well.
The display port lets you daisychain dual full-HD monitors, which works great with Dell'sdual monitor stand, the MDS19, which is an extra 150 bucks.
Price ranges from $210for the 22 inch model, $249 for the 24 inch, and the largest at 27 inches is $310, and they're now availabledirectly from Dell.
Overall, the Dell P Series with USB-C are highly recommendedand they're just fun.
Color accuracy and viewingangles at 178 degrees are first-rate, and theflexibility of the monitor to quickly shift positions is convenient.
The real highlight though is the ability to use a single Type-C cableto recharge your laptop while acting as an extended display.
This is perfect forthose who desire minimal, clean arrangement, and it'sa perfect solution for those who want just a single laptopat home and the office, but also want largerviewing spaces when working, watching movies, or playing games.
All right now if you want more information about this display, make sure you head tothe description below, we'll give you the bio links there.
Remember this comes in alldifferent sizes as well, so pick the one that works best for you.
